Airbnb is funding short-term accommodation for refugees from Ukraine. You can help too

Airbnb has announced that it will offer free short-term stays for up to 100,000 refugees from Ukraine. To do this, the portal needs your help. Refugee stays will be funded by Airbnb and donors and through the generosity of hosts. Find out on Airbnb how you can help and host refugees or make a donation.

At the moment, there is a particular need for places for short-term stays in the upcoming countries such as Poland, Hungary, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, France, Netherlands, UK and Ireland.

  • If you already host guests on Airbnb, you can help and offer your place to those in need - HERE learn how to do so. See tutorial video which explains the registration process.
  • You can make your place available for free or at a reduced rate. Needy stays will be funded by Airbnb.org.
  • All such stays will be booked on request, which you can review in advance and accept or decline. Ensure your calendar is up to date.
  • No Airbnb host fee will be charged for free and lower rate stays.
  • If you are not already hosting guests on Airbnb but would like to host refugees under your roof, register at Airbnb.org.

Note: if you create a new listing through Airbnb.org, it will only be available to Airbnb.org guests and all bookings will be free. If you want to get paid for hosting, you'll need to create the listing on Airbnb.org and then submit it on Airbnb.org. (This listing will then display on both Airbnb.co.uk and Airbnb.org).

- We know that Airbnb guests and hosts around the world will want to support us in this massive effort to help those fleeing Ukraine. Airbnb also wants to ensure the safety of guests and hosts in Ukraine and is actively working to support the local community in the country.
