Digital Services Act

General Information:

Article 16(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2012 on the digital single market for digital services and amending Directive 2000/31/EC (the DSA) requires providers of hosting services, including online platforms, to accept reports from any person or organisation regarding the presence on their service of certain information that the person or organisation considers to be illegal content.

“Illegal content” means information that, in itself or by reference to an action, including the sale of products or the provision of services, does not comply with Union law or the law of a Member State that is in compliance with Union law, regardless of the specific subject matter or nature of that law (Article 3(h) of the DSA).
